Brooks Lincoln Stair Lift
Are there any access issues? |
|
In some situations there may be a door on the wall at the foot of the stairs, or the stairs enter into an open hallway where the rail for the stair lift may protrude. As the stair lift rail meets the floor at the foot of the stairs approximately 14" (36cm) beyond the nose of the bottom step, a modified rail has to be used. This modified rail has a hinge in the bottom section, enabling it to be swung over upon its self and out of the way, when the lift is not in use. Sometimes there may be a door directly at the top of the stairs, for example the door for the basement. As the stairlift rail normally overhangs the top landing by approximately 8" (20cm), modified top brackets for the rail are used, which eliminate this intrusion onto the top floor. |
